Contemporary Dance Classes

This class will be taken by renowned dancer and choreographer, Kilda Northcott (founding member of Limbs). For students aged from 11 years upwards.

Testimonies from previous students in Kilda's class who have gone into professional dance careers:
"Kilda Northcott’s contemporary dance class was integral in giving me an open mind to the creative world of contemporary dance. The class is grounded in the reality of the contemporary dance scene and this is largely in part to the real world experience Kilda has with the ever evolving contemporary world. As a mentor Kilda gave me the tools I needed to succeed and grow as a contemporary dancer and have a success career beyond my training in New Zealand. The class uses the building blocks of technique to create freedom in the body and mind. Kilda’s class is a safe space to discover ones self and learn to work in tandem with others; there is always a space for laughter and exploration with people of all different backgrounds and experiences. My time with Kilda was invaluable to me as both a dancer and a person."

"Kilda's contemporary classes are what introduced me to my love of contemporary dance. Her muscle and bone inspired and improvisational exercises have really helped to prepare me for my further study in contemporary dance. I have always enjoyed her classes and I always felt welcome."
